Do shorter people have an advantage over taller people when it rains since they have more time until the drops hit them?

Or, do the taller people have an advantage since the drops would be falling less distance when they hit them making the impact more subtle?

This could take some really really deep thought!

Being vertically challenged myself I avoid being in the rain for that very reason. Sorry I am unable to shed any further light on your inquiry.

I'm only about 5-10 myself, so I would fall into the average height category (I guess)

need to have someone in here that is a little taller give their point of veiw.

Short people have the advantage. As we all know, force = mass x acceleration. But, as the raindrop falls to earth, it slowly evaporates. So, the same drop that would plop onto the dome a a dude who's 6'8", by the time it were to land on a person say of Gae's height, it has lost some of its mass and therefore hits with less force.

D-squared can back me up on this.

    Good point Lew.

This may be more about the difference between a large drop of rain at a slower speed and a smaller drop traveling a little faster.

Which im,pact is greater? The bigger splash or the higher speed at impact?

I don't go out in the rain.

    We all know I'd melt.

Then again, shorter people have more time to actually get out of the rain once it begins to fall.

And they can actually hide from the rain under tall people with large noses or big boobs.
